Baryon Number Diffusion and Instabilities in the Quark/hadron Phase Transition
نویسندگان
چکیده
Hadron bubbles that nucleate with radius Rnuc in a quark sea (if the phase transition is first order) are shown to be unstable to the growth of nonspherical structure when the bubble radii exceed a critical size of 20−10 Rnuc. This instability is driven by a very thin layer of slowly diffusing excess baryon number that forms on the surface of the bubble wall and limits its growth. This instability occurs on a shorter length scale than those studied previously and these effects can thus be important for both cosmology and heavy ion collisions. Baryon number segregation at the end of the cosmological quark-hadron transition.
One of the most interesting questions regarding a possible first order cosmological quark–hadron phase transition concerns the final fate of the baryon number contained within the disconnected quark regions at the end of the transition. We here present a detailed investigation of the hydrodynamical evolution of an evaporating quark drop, using a multi-component fluid description to follow the m...
متن کاملbaryon inhomogeneities on the dynamics of quark - hadron transition
Baryon number inhomogeneities may be generated during the epoch when the baryon asymmetry of the universe is produced, e.g. at the electroweak phase transition. The regions with excess baryon number will have a lower temperature than the background temperature of the universe. Also the value of the quark hadron transition temperature T c will be different in these regions as compared to the bac...

متن کاملHypercentral Constituent Quark Model and Isospin for the Baryon Static Properties
So far the static properties of hadrons have been introduced in various models. The static properties of hadrons (charge radius, magnetic moment, etc.) are useful for understanding the quark structure of hadron. In this work we have introduced the hypercentral constituent quark and isospin dependent potentials. Here constituent quarks interact with each other via a potential in which we have ta...

The expulsion of magnetic flux lines from a growing superconducting core of a quark star has been investigated. The idea of impurity diffusion in molten alloys and an identical mechanism of baryon number transport from hot quark-gluon-plasma phase to hadronic phase during quark-hadron phase transition in the early universe, micro-second after big bang has been used. The possibility of Mullins-S...
